Licorice is shy and cautious, the kind of girl who prefers to assess the room from her throne atop the cat tree before making any major social commitments. At the shelter, we haven’t yet seen her full sparkle. She’s been more “mysterious indie film heroine” than “rom-com lead.” But make no mistake—there is more brewing beneath that reserved exterior. She doesn’t want to just be a quiet observer forever. She wants a safe space where she can unfold at her own pace and show the playful, affectionate girl we know is in there.
