Patches ACCT-A-243120 is currently considered urgent and at risk of euthanasia due to medical concerns. Patches must have confirmed placement with an RESCUE PARTNER or an EXPERIENCED ADOPTER by 10 A.M. on Wednesday, February 18th. This commitment must include covering the financial cost of her full mouth extraction dental procedure. Should Patches' medical or behavioral status change, her urgency and timeline for placement may also change.
Patches was surrendered to ACCT Philly by her recent owners, who had only had her for a month after finding her as a stray. They reported that she was not a good fit for their home because she was eliminating outside the litter box. Despite this, she got along well with the two adults and a toddler in the household.
A veterinary examination revealed severe dental disease, including stomatitis and tissue enlargement on both sides of her tongue (which requires ruling out a mass versus a condition secondary to stomatitis). To ensure her comfort and improve her quality of life, Patches requires a full-mouth dental extraction.
During her medical intake, the nursing staff described Patches as a "super sweet girl" who allowed all handling.
Despite her unknown past before her last owners, Patches is clearly a gentle, kind, and resilient cat. Given the necessary medical care and time to recover, we are fully confident that she will thrive and flourish.

Due to limited space, timestamps may also be preceded early so it is imperative to let us know if you are considering adopting or tagging a dog or cat.
Confirmed placement is considered confirmation of an actual rescue pull. Possible placement, interested parties, and other "TBD" statuses are not considered confirmed and do not indicate an animal is no longer urgent.
