Meet Chicago Style Hot Dog ACCT-A-242323! Chicago is a 3-year-old male who came in as a stray on 2/2. The finder noted that Chicago was "limping and doesn't gain weight, shy but a lovebug, Friendly, cuddly, shy, quiet, playful."
Medical Notes:
Per an exam on 2.15:
- Mild dental calculus, no apparent oral masses or foreign bodies
- Small healing wound noted on lateral aspect of L hock
- L tarsus abscess, improved
Per an exam on 2/10:
-Cat's URI signs have resolved, and lingual ulceration is nearly healed. Wound on left tarsus, however, has started actively draining purulent discharge.
Assessment
-Persistently abscessed wound, left tarsus
Per an exam on 2/6:
-Cat has shown significant improvement in hydration status, URI signs, and energy level since entering the shelter. He is noted to be eating well. Wound on left tarsus is no longer draining purulent debris, and surrounding cellulitis has resolved.
Per an exam on 2/6:
-Ears have waxy debris
-MM pink, gingivitis, ulceration on lingual surface
-Crusted blood and mucoid debris at nares
-Unkempt dirty coat, prolonged turgor. Infected puncture wounds on left lateral tarsus
-Neutered male in thin and muscle wasted body condition
-Tolerated full exam
Assessment:
-Community acquired URI w/ lingual ulceration
-Abscessed wounds of unknown origin, left lateral tarsus
-Very poor body condition
-FELV/FIV test: neg/neg
Per an exam on 2/2:
-anus has wounds
-left ear tipped, waxy ears, flea dirt in ears, odor from ears
-nose is clear, bloody
-dirty, wound on back left leg/knee area + calf area
-missing left incisor
-BAR, shaking during exam
