Domestic Short Hair Cats Available for Adoption

Roshka comes all the way from Azerbaijan, a former Soviet republic where many animals are left to survive on harsh streets after facing injury or abandonment. We rescue them and fly them to the United States so they can finally experience safety, stability, and the loving home they deserve.

Roshka’s story began in a home where she lived alongside four other cats. However, circumstances there were far from safe. The woman who kept them had placed mouse traps inside the house. One day, Roshka mistook a trap for a toy and innocently tried to play with it, resulting in a severe injury to her paw.

With great effort, her toes were freed from the trap, but the damage resulted in a permanent injury. Although the wound has fully healed and she now lives a normal, active life, she will carry this injury with her for the rest of her life — and her little paw has become part of her unique charm. Sadly, after the incident, the woman stated she could no longer care for Roshka and surrendered her, condemning her to a life in the shelter through no fault of her own.

Despite everything, Roshka remains bright and full of love. She is 2 years old, sweet, playful, and deeply affectionate. Her gentle spirit has not been broken by her past. She enjoys playing, exploring, and spending time with both dogs and other cats, making her adaptable and social.

Roshka deserves a family who will see beyond her injury and embrace her for the beautiful, loving cat she is.

She is spayed, vaccinated, and ready for adoption.
