My foster writes: Bruckner is a very special girl! She came from a potential hoarding situation and still has adjusted very well to foster life. She uses her litter box, eats well, and loves to play with toys. Bruckner would prefer a home that gives her space to be herself. As of right now, she is still quite afraid of people and prefers not to be touched, but is working on this in her foster home. She often hides when people are in the room, and may or may not warm up given time. She'd love a home that understands her needs, is willing to go slow with her, and that will love her for who she is-even if she hasn't quite learned how to return it yet. Bruckner was crouched in the back of the den, appearing nervous with large pupils. He sniffed treats briefly and then tried to flee out of the den, almost jumping on top and then deciding to flee back inside the kennel. He was gently approached for petting and allowed petting on his head, cheeks, and along his back while remaining in place. He's a sweet, shy cat.
Bruckner interacts with the observer, solicits & appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for cat parents with either an average amount of cat experience or demonstrate a basic understanding of typical cat behavior.
