Domestic Short Hair Cats Available for Adoption

This is Rosie, female, spayed, about 9 years old and about 8 pounds. She was a neighbor’s indoor/outdoor cat that decided to adopt me. I’ve had her over a year now.

She mostly just likes to sleep in her chair all day. She also likes to go out for a little while each day except if the weather is bad!

I am needing to rehome her because I have 5 family members who are allergic to cats. Unfortunately, the allergies turn to asthma so it’s not just itchy eyes. I thought I would be able to mitigate the allergens but it’s not working as well as is needed.

She is a little skittish until she gets to know you. She was bullied by another cat in her former home so I don’t know how she would so around other cats. She tolerates dogs. She will stand her ground and hiss if a dog gets too close to her in the house. She likes to sit in my lap but she does not like to be snuggled closely. She loves having her back scratched.

I am looking for a home that will love her as much as I do.
