Domestic Short Hair Cats Available for Adoption

Firefly is a 3-year-old polydactyl beauty with the most striking green eyes and a heart as sweet as can be. Her extra toes on both front paws make her look like she's wearing tiny mittens, which is just one of the many things that make her special!

This lovely girl has a gentle, affectionate personality once she feels safe. At first, Firefly can be a little shy in new surroundings, but she warms up with patience and kindness. Before long, you'll find her curled up in your lap or tucked under the covers beside you at night. Firefly loves her naps--especially on soft or heated beds--and she's happiest spending her days lounging, watching the world go by from a sunny window, or playing with her favorite wand toy. She's still a playful kitty and will even bring her wand toy to you when she's ready for a game.

Firefly is also known for her expressive meows; she's quite the little conversationalist and isn't shy about letting you know when she's ready for treats (Temptations are her favorite). She enjoys gentle pets and quiet companionship, making her an ideal match for someone seeking a calm and loving feline friend. She seems to form especially strong bonds with women and thrives with a consistent, gentle presence.

While Firefly doesn't actively seek out other cats for interaction, she does feel more secure knowing they are nearby and may do best in a home with another calm, easygoing feline companion. She can coexist peacefully with non-dominant cats but would also be content as your only pet in the right environment. She is dog-selective--able to tolerate smaller, mellow pups but frightened of larger or high-energy dogs.

Firefly's ideal home is a quiet, low-energy environment without children, where she can feel safe, understood, and adored. With a little patience and a lot of love, Firefly will blossom into a loyal, snuggly companion who brings warmth and joy to every day.

All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated. Cats are up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped. Please note there may be additional follow up visits and boosters that are not covered by Pet Haven after adoption.
