Charleston, affectionately known as Charlie, is a 3-year-old cat with a calm, easygoing personality and a quietly affectionate nature. He's the kind of companion who brings a peaceful presence into a home, happy to relax nearby and enjoy your company without demanding the spotlight. He was rescued from outside by his current fosters who wanted to help him live a better life.

Charlie has experience being around other cats and generally tolerates them well, especially when they're respectful of his space. He has shown remarkable patience-even when sharing food with other strays, he would calmly step back and wait his turn, observing from a distance rather than engaging in conflict. Only in rare cases, such as encountering an aggressive cat, has he shown any discomfort.

Though he was initially skittish-often running off when approached-Charlie has made wonderful progress in building trust. Over time, he's grown comfortable with familiar people, even approaching for pets before mealtime. Now that he's indoors, he's adjusted quickly, recognizing his caregivers and settling into a relaxed routine.

Charlie is a low-key housemate. He uses the litter box perfectly, enjoys lounging, and prefers quiet companionship over active play or roughhousing. He's not particularly interested in toys, but he loves affection-especially ear scratches and brushing. Once he feels safe, he'll even flop onto his back to invite gentle pets, a true sign of trust.

While he hasn't quite warmed up to being picked up yet, Charlie shows every sign of becoming a loyal, loving couch companion as he continues to adjust to indoor life. His ideal home would be a calm, patient environment where he can build trust at his own pace.
