Domestic Short Hair Cats Available for Adoption

Five-year-old Furby is a charming brown-tabby girl who had her heart broken when the person who meant the world moved and chose not to bring her along, discarding her as if she were worthless. Well, Furby is NOT worthless! She is a treasure, an absolutely affectionate, loving sweetheart who clearly adores human companionship. It naturally took her some time to. Recover from the trauma of being betrayed, but her foster mom says that she responds with head butts to affectionate touches. Furby has a history of getting along with other cats and would likely do well with a feline buddy in her new home. She has a tendency to get a bit over stimulated, so she probably would not do very well in a home with very young children. We have not observed her with dogs. Like nearly all cats, Furby would do best adopted into an interactive home where she will get lots of playtime and not be left unaccompanied for long hours. Furby is ready to leave her hard past behind and settle into a safe, caring home where her gentle nature can truly shine. Furby seems to be an easy cat suitable for a sufficiently patient first-time adopter.

Furby has been spayed, is current on vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, and treated for worms and fleas. Her adopter will receive her medical records. She’s being fostered in Revere. Adoptions are facilitated by video meet-and-greets, as well as in-person visits.  There is a simple adoption process and an adoption fee of $195, which helps us continue rescuing cats in need.
