PETER (see also WENDY) - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Marietta, Georgia

Peter - 23549 - Kennel 651 - Arrived October 20, 2026 - Domestic Short Hair mix - black and white - male - 2 years old - 7.75 lbs - Will be neutered prior to adoption - Up to date on vaccines - FIV/FeLV negative

Peter is a sleek, glossy black cat with a velvety coat and bright yellow-green eyes that follow you with calm attention. Black cats have a way of looking like they stepped out of a storybook, and Peter has the quiet elegance to match.

Peter arrived at Cobb Animal Services on October 20, 2026. At 2 years old and 7.75 pounds, he is a young adult with his whole adult life ahead of him. He has moved past the kitten stage, so there are no surprises about the cat he is, and the person who adopts him can start building a life together right away.

A shelter kennel is only a waiting place, and Peter has waited long enough. He deserves a windowsill to watch the world from, a soft spot to curl up in, and someone who is glad to see him every single day. Black cats are so often passed over, and the ones who wait the longest have so much to give.

Peter is up to date on vaccines, has tested negative for FIV and FeLV, and will be neutered before he goes home. He shares kennel 651 with Wendy, and we would be delighted to see the two of them go home together, though he is welcome in a loving home of his own. Come meet Peter in kennel 651.
