Cupcake is a wonderfully affectionate cat who found her way into rescue after her owner left her. In her past home she was overfed which caused her to become dangerously overweight. This made it difficult for her to jump, walk, and even clean herself properly, and it put her at risk for other health problems down the road. Fortunately she has started shedding the pounds with portion control and weight loss food and she's ready to move on to a healthier chapter in her life! Cupcake is a funny girl who is very talkative, especially when she thinks it is mealtime. She needs someone who will be strong enough to resist her demands for more than her daily allotment. Fortunately, Cupcake has another hobby which she loves as much as food: snuggling! She is the ultimate lap cat. She doesn't care if you have another cat or dog already there. She will sleep right on top if she has to! She loves being pet and is a great, toasty warm companion. Cupcake is great with dogs. She views some cats as a minor annoyance but tolerates them fine. Cupcake is fully litter box trained but sometimes needs a little help cleaning her bottom because she can't quite reach it. This should resolve once she loses enough weight. She sometimes likes to nibble on plastic bags (like zip-lock type), so she'll need a place that keeps it out of reach.

Cupcake is looking for an owner who is serious about continuing her weight loss plan with a vet so that she can live a long life free from diabetes and arthritis. Her prescription weight loss food is about $55 for a 6lb bag which lasts about 6-8 weeks. She will pay you back with affection and companionship. Spay or Neuter
Rabies and distemper up to date (as age appropriate-kitten adopters may need to provide their adopted pets with rabies vaccine and distemper boosters if adopted before 14 weeks)
FeLV/FIV test (FeLV only for kittens under six months)
Microchip

Our adult cat adoption fee is $75. It is $125 for two adults. Our kitten adoption fee (under 5 mo) is $175. If two kittens are adopted at the same time, our adoption fee is $300 for the pair. If an adult cat is adopted with a kitten, our adoption fee is $225.
