Spookie is a sweet, gentle girl who is still finding her footing with people, but she is making beautiful progress. She has a medium energy level, so she enjoys playtime, morning zoomies, and climbing sessions, but she also loves her naps and quiet time. She is more independent by nature and tends to show her affection in quieter, more tentative ways.
Right now, Spookie is still a little shy and does not usually come up for attention on her own, but once she is picked up and settled onto a lap or the bed, she starts purring and really enjoys being pet. She especially loves belly rubs, which feels like such a sweet little show of trust. She is also very curious and likes to follow her person around from a distance, keeping an eye on whatever is going on.
Spookie is most active in the early morning, when she likes to zoom around the house, play with her toys, and climb up her scratchers. She often entertains herself, but she also enjoys playfighting with the other cats in her foster home. She loves looking out the window and taking in the world, though loud outside noises can still make her nervous.
She has done very well with other cats and clearly enjoys their company, but she is also opening up to people more every day. With someone patient who understands shy cats and is willing to take the first step, Spookie may continue building confidence beautifully in a home of her own.
Spookie would likely do best in a quieter household with calm, mature people who will let her settle in at her own pace. She is still scared of some things, but she is trying very hard to be brave, and it has been so lovely to watch her grow.
Spookie is a very special cat. She is soft, sensitive, and full of quiet sweetness, and we believe she will keep blossoming with the right person by her side.
