Close a door between you and he’ll let you know exactly how he feels about it, but the moment he can see you again, he’s content to relax nearby. He happily snuggles at night, enjoys the occasional lap session, and carries a motor-like purr that sometimes turns into the cutest little snores.
Playtime is one of Jack’s greatest joys. He gets the zoomies, adores wand toys and laser pointers, and will proudly carry a feather wand from room to room like a prized possession. He’s still learning the finer points of “how to cat,” but what he may lack in polish he makes up for in determination. If a door stands between Jack and his people, he becomes surprisingly resourceful in his efforts to reunite with you.
More than anything, Jack is a lovebug. He wants to be near you, involved in your day, and part of the household rhythm. If he wakes from a nap and can’t find you, he’ll softly call out until his family is back in view.
Jack enjoys playing big brother to his more sensitive sister and shows a natural comfort with companionship. While he may grow into being a solo cat over time, he is very much a Velcro kitten right now and would thrive in a home where someone is around often and he has a buddy to romp around with and get those kitten zoomies out with. His social nature suggests he would likely adapt well to respectful children and a well-mannered dog with proper introductions.
Jack is also a clever opportunist when it comes to food and will happily make it his mission to sample whatever you’re having if given the chance, so keeping counters and sinks clear will set everyone up for success. The good news is that he redirects easily and is eager to please.
