Hi… I’m Evangeline, a sweet girl who had a very hard start in life, but I’m hoping my future will be filled with kindness and love.

I was born on the streets and survived out there for a couple of years on my own. Eventually, a wonderful police officer was able to trap me and get me the help I needed. When my foster mom first saw me, she could tell that life hadn’t been easy for me. I have scars on my neck from an old attack, and it was clear I had been through more than any cat should.

But even after everything I experienced, it only took a few days for me to realize my foster mom was someone I could trust. Now when I see her, I run to greet her. 🐾

I can still be a little shy when meeting new people, but if you give me patience and kindness, you’ll see my true personality. I’m actually a very sweet and affectionate girl who loves gentle pets. And when I really trust you, I’ll give you little nose bumps—my special “Eskimo kisses”—to show you how much I appreciate you.

These days I enjoy the quiet things in life. A peaceful home where I can lounge in sunny windows, watch birds, or curl up on a chair and observe the world would make me very happy.

I would do best as the only cat in the home, but I do get along well with calm dogs who respect my space.

I am also FIV positive, and because of that, I’m often overlooked—but I promise you, I’m just as loving and deserving as any other cat. I do not require expensive or special care—just routine veterinary visits, good nutrition, fresh water, and a safe indoor home, just like any other kitty. With that kind of love, I can live a long, happy, normal life.
