Gia’s story starts with a bit of a heartbreak, but she isn’t letting that dampen her spirit. When her previous owners moved away, they sadly left her behind to fend for herself. Thankfully, a watchful and kind neighbor stepped in to ensure she was safe and contacted Halfway Home Rescue. We know that she had a litter of kittens in the past, so we were pleased to be able to officially retire her from the baby-making business with her spay.

Since moving into her foster home, Gia has made one thing abundantly clear: she is officially retired from the outdoors. With winter storms on the horizon, Gia is relishing the warmth of a cozy bed and the safety of four walls. She is a true "indoor enthusiast" who appreciates the finer things in life—like chin scratches and soft blankets.

All HHR kittens/cats are located in Lexington, Ky and have been seen by a Veterinarian, spayed/ neutered, micro chipped, combo tested for feline leukemia and FIV, are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and been given dewormer and flea treatment.
