Meet Wisp.

Wisp is a tiny black mama cat who came to us carrying a heartbreaking loss.

She had given birth to a litter of kittens outdoors, and caring trappers were trying to get back to bring Wisp and her babies to safety. But when they returned, the kittens were gone.

We may never know exactly what happened, but what we do know is this: Wisp was trapped safely soon after, and that first night, she cried for her babies.

It was the kind of cry that stays with you.

No mother should have to search for babies who are no longer there. No animal should have to know that kind of loss.

Now Wisp is safe with us.

She no longer has to fend for herself outside, and she will never again be left without care, compassion, and protection. While we cannot change what she has been through, we can make sure the rest of her story is filled with kindness.

She is small, quiet, and incredibly deserving of love.
