Chris first arrived in early February as part of a special transfer from Southern California. We're so grateful to our incredible rescue partners - Frost Fund, Riverside County Department of Animal Services, and The Purrty Pals - for helping make his rescue possible.
When he came to us, Chris was injured and frightened, with an inflamed paw, missing nails, and a visible puncture wound. While we may never know what he endured, we do know this: he is safe now. He is healed. And he is one of the sweetest boys you'll ever meet.
After spending time in foster care to decompress and recover, Chris has returned to Homeward Bound - and he's ready to find his person.
Here's what his foster discovered:
He jumps up on counters (and gracefully off again!) - his paw doesn't seem to bother him at all.
He eats well and prefers dry food. (Not much of a wet food fan.)
He drinks plenty of water.
He uses the litter box reliably.
He is a full-on LAP CAT.
He is chatty, affectionate, and wants to be loved.
He will cuddle in bed all night if you let him.
He gives truly top-tier, legendary head butts.
He also loves chasing and attacking his favorite toy and will happily soak up every ounce of attention you offer.
If you've been looking for a devoted companion who will claim your lap, your pillow, and your heart - Chris is ready.
Come meet this resilient, affectionate gentleman and see for yourself why his head butts are the stuff of legend.
