03/01/2026:
Meet Nugget 💛
Our newest foster kitten, Nugget, is only 5 months old — and in his short little life, he has already endured more than most animals ever should.
Nugget was found in Northern Berks County and rushed to emergency care with a high fever, severe dehydration, and a shattered front elbow — most likely from being hit by a car. He was fragile, scared, and fighting to survive. Thanks to the incredible team , his life was saved. In order to stop his pain and give him a chance, his shattered left front leg had to be amputated.
It’s heartbreaking to imagine what he went through before someone found him. The pain. The confusion. The fear. Yet through it all, Nugget has shown nothing but quiet strength and resilience.
His stitches are now out, he has been neutered, and he has tested negative for FIV and feline leukemia. He is finishing up his healing process and receiving his required vaccines, and he will be ready for adoption in just a few short weeks.
And here’s the beautiful part — Nugget doesn’t let his missing leg slow him down for even a second. He runs, plays, climbs, and explores like any other kitten. He has completely adapted and gets around just fine. He is playful, curious, and so incredibly sweet. He gets along wonderfully with cats of all ages and even a big dog. In his calm foster home, he has finally been able to relax and let his true personality shine.
Nugget deserves a home that will see past what he lost and focus on everything he is — brave, loving, resilient, and full of life. He deserves safety. He deserves warmth. He deserves a family who will promise him that he will never have to fight for survival again.
If you’re looking for a kitten with a powerful story, a gentle heart, and a spirit that refuses to give up, Nugget is your boy.
Adoption donation is currently $150. All cats / kittens have been individually, tested for feline leukemia and feline aids, spayed, or neutered, micro chipped, and have received all age-appropriate vaccinations.
