Yes, their names are accurate.

These 2-month-old siblings grew up outdoors with very little human interaction, so their current response to unfamiliar people, places, and situations is approximately: GO!

Of eight siblings, Skitter was the first to make enough progress with handling to move into adoptions. But once separated from his family, his tiny meows made it clear he missed them. So we reunited him with his sister Hurtle, and now these two works-in-progress are learning together that people can be pretty great.

They'll need a cat-savvy adult home (responsible teens are okay!) committed to continuing their socialization with gentle handling, treats, play, and lots of positive interaction. They may run, Hurtle may protest when pushed too far, and every new environment may feel like starting over.

When we say they need time, we really mean time.

But they're babies, and they're learning. If earning their trust one tiny victory at a time sounds more rewarding than intimidating, Skitter & Hurtle may be your kind of kittens.
