Domestic Short Hair Cats Available for Adoption

Say hello to GILBERT! GILBERT is a handsome fellow with stunning chocolate brown and black tabby stripes. He has a cloud of white surrounding his mouth and enchanting green eyes. Our vet staff estimates GILBERT to be approximately one year old.

GILBERT had been routinely wandering a local neighborhood when a concerned resident took notice and wanted to get him to safety. GILBERT was humanely trapped and brought to our cat center. Upon arrival, he had some minor scratches and abrasions which have all since healed up and resolved nicely. GILBERT was slightly hesitant of all the volunteers the first week or so. However, with time, GILBERT has blossomed and let his guard down. At first, it seemed as if the only form of communication GILBERT knew how to do was a soft hiss, but we did not let that fool us! We knew this guy was a softie at heart. GILBERT can be pet and he enjoys receiving his crunchy yummy cat treats. He adores his soft, plush bed too. Our socialization/enrichment volunteers are teaching GILBERT how to play with toys and we see so much progress from when he first came to our facility. GILBERT melts when you give him gentle scritches to his head and behind his ears. GILBERT is ready to leave his former street life in the past and is looking forward to finding his very own Forever Home with the purr-fect person or family that will give this kitty the life filled with love he deserves.

Neutered, Rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, FeLV/FIV tested negative, Flea prevention applied and Microchipped.
