Meet Kirk, a handsome black kitten and certified little house panther, named after Metallica’s legendary guitarist, Kirk Hammett!

Kirk is the biggest of his brothers, but don’t let his size fool you—he’s still on the shy and timid side. He may need a little time to feel comfortable in new surroundings, but once he does, his sweet and curious personality starts to shine.

One of Kirk’s favorite pastimes is sitting with his paws crossed and quietly watching the world go by. He especially loves keeping an eye on the dogs and cats from the other side of the baby gate. He’s a thoughtful little guy who likes to observe before deciding that something is safe and interesting.

Kirk has done well with adult male and female cats, as well as large dogs, with safe and gradual introductions. He would do best in a home without young children under 5, where he can have the patience and calm environment he needs to build confidence.

Kirk would also do best going home with one of his brothers—James, Lars, or Cliff. Having a familiar brother by his side will help him feel safe and comfortable as he continues to come out of his shell.
