Mira's story began with more challenges than most kittens will ever know. She was found trapped inside a car engine, and although she was rescued, her injuries were so severe that one of her limbs had to be amputated. Today, she is fully healed and doesn't let being a tripod slow her down one bit-she runs, plays, and explores just like any other kitten.
While her body has healed, her heart is still learning to trust. Mira is naturally shy and needs time to feel safe with new people. She isn't a kitten who wants to be picked up or carried around, and she's happiest observing the world from a comfortable distance. But when she feels secure, she'll quietly choose to be near you, sometimes curling up beside you when she's especially sleepy.
Her foster mom believes that what Mira needs most is someone with patience, kindness, and a gentle approach. Given the time to build trust and shown consistent love, Mira continues to blossom into the sweet, playful girl she truly is.
Mira would thrive in a calm, adult-only home where her family understands that the most meaningful relationships are sometimes the ones that take a little longer to grow. If you're willing to let her come to you at her own pace, you'll have the privilege of watching a brave little survivor discover what it means to be loved.
