Meet Athena!

Named after a goddess, little Athena certainly has the looks to match. This beautiful 5 month old gray tabby has striking dark, flame-like markings on her ears that give her an extra touch of mythical charm.

Athena is a gentle soul with a shy but affectionate personality. She may take a little time to decide that you’re worthy of her trust, but once she does, her sweet and loving side begins to shine. She appreciates a patient approach and will reward your kindness with affection and companionship.

Surprisingly, one of Athena’s favorite things is water! Whether she’s investigating a dripping faucet, watching water move, or simply supervising nearby, this curious little goddess seems fascinated by it. Perhaps Athena secretly thinks she’s the goddess of the sea too. We haven’t had the heart to correct her.

Athena grew up alongside her brothers, Bug and Burger, who are also available for adoption. If you’re considering adopting two kittens, she would love the comfort and companionship of heading home with one of her siblings.

With her beautiful markings, gentle nature, and quietly affectionate personality, Athena doesn’t need to command attention to steal your heart. Give this little goddess some patience, and before long, you may find yourself completely under her spell.

Athena does great with kids and other cats. She is fixed, up to date on vaccines, and has great litterbox habits.

Athena is currently in Houston, Texas, but can be transported to the Northeast and Pacific Northwest, or cities along the route.

ABOUT OUR ADOPTION FEES:

Our adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchipping, and transportation costs. Also, when you adopt from ROSES Rescues, you’re doing more than giving your new family member a home. Each adoption fee sponsors a cat on the streets of Houston to be spayed/neutered, helping end the cycle of overpopulation in a rough environment.
