The beauty of life is multidimensional and layered, and our girl Onyx reflects that motto. She is playful and loving, spirited and silly. Onyx will head butt the legs of your chair with such enthusiasm that you'll wonder if you should outfit her with a tiny hard hat.

Imagine if you will, that Onyx is on the job in her tiny hard hat- a top ranked engineer of head butts, belly flops and body rolls. One can't help but want to reach out and pet her, and this is where her multidimensional spirit comes in... Shortly after coming into rescue, Onyx earned the nickname Swipey. It was discovered that if you were to try to pet her head on, she'd give you a little swipe. Or two. But here's the thing about Swipey, er Onyx.. she loves pets! She is easy to handle and likes to be held. You just can't approach her head on. One must sneak their hands onto her and she's happy to have them there.

This minor complexity to her personality is very easy to deal with, especially for cat savvy folks. Onyx is goofy and sweet and gets along well with other cats. Her enthusiasm for wand toys is a joy to witness. She'll roll around and purr when petted with a back scratcher. It may seem odd, but if you scoop her up from behind she'll purr and thoroughly enjoy the experience.

This little sweetie has experienced something in her past that taught her to not trust a hand coming at her but this brave and loving girl perseveres, ever ready to show you her appreciation for love and a safe home.
