Meet Jax! This chonky bear of a boy is an absolute love. Don't let his size fool you, he is playful and agile as any! Jax loves a good game of chase with a wand toy - he can flip midair for a chance to catch his elusive prey. This boy gets along well with other cats. He plays well with them and gladly shares his food like a gentleman. Sometimes he gets a bit enthusiastic when playing but he's never aggressive. Jax loves some good pets and head scritches and regularly jumps down from his favorite spot high atop the cat tree for them when his humans enter the room.
You may have noticed that Jax is missing his tail. He sustained an injury prior to coming to Trash Cat Rescue which required a full amputation. This resulted in a long term issue with his bladder resulting in partial urinary incontinence. Jax uses the litter box normally to poop and at times to pee but is generally "leaky" or unaware that his bladder has become full. He benefits from a human who can help express his bladder several times a day to keep him clean and comfortable. Despite a small amount of annoyance, this doesn't seem to bother Jax too much, and he gladly lines up to take his daily meds which help make expression easier to do.
Jax brings a lot of joy to his foster family, but they would love for him to find a forever home with the right folks who would adore him just as much and be just as dedicated to the daily care that he requires. Could that possibly be you?
Jax is estimated to be almost four years old. He is neutered, microchipped, flea treated, dewormed, vaccinated, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV. If you want a friendly, gentle giant who needs a little extra love and care, maybe Jax is the guy for you.
