Meet Augustus (Gus for short)!

Augustus is a friendly, yet cautious guy. He lives for gentle head pets and chin scritches and is quick to hop up on a strangers lap and start purring aggressively once they are seated. If Gus doesn't want to sit on your lap, he's happy to curl up next to you and take a nap.

Augustus likes to have cozy, confined spaces where he can sit, observe and relax while feeling protected. He would do best starting out in one room to adjust while he gets used to his new environment (preferably one that you spend a lot of time in - he loves to co-work with people!)

Augustus does like to explore, especially on bookshelves, but is respectful of your boundaries. He doesn't try to hop up on tall surfaces. He loves to look out the window and bird watch - it will provide him with hours of entertainment.

His calm, reserved, and social demeanor indicates that he would be good for calmer households with cat savvy children. Gus has not been around other cats or dogs while in foster, but may do ok with calm dogs and proper introductions. He is a great companion and only wants to give his forever family all of his love.
