Looking for love? Looking for VERY love, very warm, welcoming, generous, considerate love? Notorious L.A.P. isn't "Velcro" - he's not joined to you at the hip - but he'll make you (and family and friends) feel like the center of the universe to him in many ways, some listed below. Please check out the description and, if interested in him, please send in your answers to the questions asked at the end (please email me at philoctete@mailbug.com with your answers in the email and not attached as a file) and we can set up a FaceTime meeting between you and Notorious L.A.P. (FaceTiming is NOT an essential part of adoption - I just thought you might like it, and he likes video-conferencing as long as the focus is on him)! Thank you for your time and your interest in this doggily devoted rescue cat.
Yes, Notorious L.A.P. follows you around, comes to you when you call for
him, watches your hands' every move to make sure they're petting him,
will stand on his back legs if you are slow to get the Pet Me hint, will
even let you hold him belly-side up in your arms, and loves doing lots
of nose-to-nose nuzzles with you. But what's love without laughter? Set
up a chair by your front door and when you come home you'll find him
sitting on it waiting for your return! You'll enjoy how he sits outside
the bathroom door waiting for you when you close the door for a little
privacy, how he sits on a chair at your dining table when he's waiting
to be fed (and then, once fed, sits on your lap decorously as you eat YOUR meal), and how when he's not sleeping politely against your leg in
bed, he's watching over you from your headboard (if your bed has one,
that is). It'll make you laugh to find out how difficult it is to take
pictures of him (because when he sees you with your camera, he comes up
to you, spoiling the shot), and it MAY amuse you when he butts the phone
out of your hand because he bonks it so hard with his head (his headbutts, especially with YOU, are forceful and very interactive). Your sense of humor will appreciate how, when he senses you are about to get up and leave his side, he snuggles even closer against you as though meaning to be a paperweight holding you in place, and how when you get up and need to leave, he jumps up and gets between you and the door, mewing softly and rubbing your legs to entreat you to stay with him longer. If you do read printed material (such as a newspaper or magazine), his habit of sitting beside you and munching on the edge of the page you're reading (leaving passionate puncture marks in the paper) will make you laugh - unless you've only borrowed it from someone who doesn't have a similar sense of humor!
He's fastidious about the litterbox and an ardent enthusiast about food, a legacy from his life before he was rescued from competitive street-life as a
stray. It's thought that he is about 3 years of age and that he
lived most or even all of that time homeless, because he still eats as
though he is not sure when his next meal might be.
Notorious L.A.P. is a joy, with one special need. He has tested "weak
positive" for FeLV and for FIV, which suggests that his feline leukemia
and feline immunodeficiency are in remission. The vet who tested him
wanted to make it clear that, contrary to the feline leukemia MYTH,
other cats are in no danger of contracting leukemia from living in close
contact with him. His adopter will definitely want to support his health
with healthy diet and an immune-boosting supplement placed in his
cherished meals. The vet says there is no reason why he can't live a
long and normal life, when he receives this care. I can hook you up with
people who have adopted leukemia positive kitties from me ("the best
decision I ever made - you won't regret it!") so that if you want to be
you can be part of a community.
If interested in being the center of the universe for one plush,
lustrous, well-upholstered, very well-self-groomed buddy, please send in your
answers to the questions below - thanks!

ratio of dry to wet, and would you leave dry food out all the time?
Please mention what BRANDS you'd feed. Thanks!
2. What type/brand of litter and what kind of water would you offer him?
3. Do you have any experience with cats who have tested positive for
feline leukemia or who have special needs? If so, please explain.

him (if anyone) would be in the home (please mention humans and non-humans).
5. Would he be indoor, outdoor, or both?
6. What are your views, pro or con, on neutering/spaying?
7. What are your views, pro or con, on declawing?

family/household.)
9. Please say something about yourself - what your source of income or
job or profession is, your hobbies/interests/leisure pursuits, your age
or approximate age. Please mention any experience you may have had as caregiver (sitter, walker, primary caregiver, volunteer, etc.) for a cat, dog, fish, bun, bird, or other non-human being. Thanks!

appeals to you?
Thank you again for your time and for reading about Notorious L.A.P.!
