This is Ava, a beautiful 3yr old spayed female. Ava was adopted from the Humane Society as a kitten and subsequently abandoned outdoors by the original adopter’s boyfriend. She then came into Red Clay as an adult, and we adopted her to someone I now understand has serious dementia. Ava was returned by that person at beginning of the year (after 8 months in her home) for aggression. I do not want to make light of that person’s experiences and surely something happened, but I have been fostering Ava since her return and have not experienced that.
Ava is up to date on vaccines and is FIV/FeLV negative. She’s had full lab work that is normal. She’s outgoing and tries to reach out to sit on my shoulders when I lean down. She wants to be with people and hang out. She’s currently being fostered with three 4-month-old kittens and a 1yr old cat, and that is going fine (after a couple of days of hissing). She expressed interest in my dog through the window but hasn’t directly met a dog.
I am looking for an adult only home for her, ideally someone who has had cats before, and I think she’d be fine with other friendly pets with a slow introduction.
