ABOUT THIS ANIMAL:
This beautiful little calico girl is Nelly. She was born outside an office in Aman, Jordan. An American working in the office cared for her as she grew, and she quickly became the official mascot for their office and spent countless hours sleeping on her very own office chair while they worked around her. All of the workers adored her and showered her with attention, but after a visiting VIP complained, Nelly was no longer allowed in the office, and it was decided to find her a proper Forever Home.

Nelly is incredibly affectionate and loves to meet new people and get picked up and petted. She plays with every toy she has been given and will even chase the light beam from a flashlight. Her favorite pastime is chasing toys like bouncy balls and plastic springs. Her other favorite pastime is sitting in her Fosters lap and cuddling.

Nelly grew up in a colony of cats that her rescuer feeds at work and also lived in his apartment with his Foster cats for a short time. She adapts well to other cats after they are introduced and have adjusted to each other's presence. There were stray dogs at the colony where she grew up so dogs are not a good match for her. She has never encountered a child but given her loving nature she would probably adjust well if the child understood everything about having a kitty cat for a pet.
