DESCRIPTION
Foster to adopt: Meet Carol! Carol is a beautiful one-and-a-half-year-old grey tabby and white girl with the sweetest soul you’ll ever meet. She may have had a rough start, but this resilient little lady hasn’t let that dim her playful spirit or her love for people. When Carol first arrived at the shelter, she was very sick. Thanks to our incredible medical team, she was brought back to a stable condition and has been showing us just how special she truly is. Because she was ill for quite some time, Carol has very limited vision and a soft, constant wheeze—but don’t let that fool you. She navigates her world with bravery and confidence, especially once she learns her surroundings. She still loves to play, explore, and soak up all the affection she can get. Carol does have Feline Herpes Virus (FHV), a very common condition that many cats have been exposed to. For Carol, stress can trigger flare-ups, so she’ll need a calm, low-stress home where she can feel safe and secure. She will also require lifelong medical care to help keep her stable and comfortable. Our team is happy to talk through what that looks like so her future family feels fully prepared and supported. The good news? Because FHV is so common, Carol can potentially live with other cats—as long as they are not immunocompromised. She would do well with gentle, understanding feline friends and patient humans who are willing to give her the peaceful environment she needs. Carol is looking for a foster-to-adopt home that sees her not for her medical challenges, but for the loving, playful, incredibly sweet companion she is. To meet Carol, complete an online application at www.washingtonpashelter.org or visit during walk through hours on Tuesday 1pm - 7pm and Wednesday through Saturday 1pm - 4pm.
