Rising Phoenix came from the same heartbreaking hoarding situation as Baggums and Glover - a home with too many cats and not nearly enough of what they needed.
But while some faded quietly into the background, Rising Phoenix made a different choice.
He stepped forward.
He demands attention. He insists on being seen. He will headbutt his way directly into your personal space and your heart. After a life where food wasn't guaranteed, he is now very food motivated - and honestly? He's earned it. Having steady meals is still a novelty he fully intends to celebrate.
And his name? It fits.
At some point in his previous life, Rising Phoenix suffered a serious break that went untreated. No one was able to help him at the time. But somehow - miraculously - his body healed on its own. X-rays showed a recovery that can only be described as incredible. On top of that, he battled through a nasty infection that required a long course of antibiotics and multiple blood tests while in our care.
Through all of it?
Headbutts.
Purrs.
"Please love me" energy at full volume.
Nothing dimmed him.
Rising Phoenix is a velcro cat in the truest sense. He wants to be front and center. In your lap. In your arms. In your business. He is the star of the show and completely unapologetic about it.
