Double the Purrs: Meet Kaleesa & Ahna! Why adopt one feline friend when you can have a matched set of 'headbutt experts'? Kaleesa and Ahna both started their lives in a colony of unwanted cats, but since being rescued together, they have become an inseparable duo. Whether they are squeezed into a single hidey-hut or patrolling the living room, these two are rarely seen apart.
The Personalities:Kaleesa (1 year old): A total 'lover-girl' who acted like a house cat from day one. She is a professional cuddler with a purr that literally never stops. If you aren't petting her, she’ll be headbutting you to remind you that she’s available!
Ahna (2 years old): The laid-back 'big sister' of the pair. Ahna is a connoisseur of long naps and soft kitty beds. While a little more reserved than Kaleesa, she is incredibly sweet and will greet you with the most charming chirps and trills when it’s time for a 'love session.'
Why They’re the Perfect Pair:These two aren’t just roommates; they are best friends. They spend their days grooming each other, sharing naps, and exchanging constant headbutts of affection. While Kaleesa brings the outgoing energy, Ahna brings the calm, mellow vibes—making them a perfectly balanced addition to a peaceful home.
The Essentials:Vetting: Both girls are fully vetted and healthy.House Manners: Both have impeccable litter box habits.Vibe: Sweet, affectionate, and ready to swap the outdoor life for a lifetime of indoor luxury.Ready to double your luck? These two bonded beauties are looking for a forever home where they can stay together forever.

Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives!
$300 for purebred/highly requested kittens, 6 months or younger, such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coon mixes. These 'guardian kittens' help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens.
$200 for purebred/highly requested cats older than 6 months such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coone mixes. These 'guardian cats' help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens.
$200 for kittens (6 months & under)
$125 for cats (older than 6 months)
$75 for senior cats (8 years or older)
If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application here . We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process!
Please email cats@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time. PLEASE NOTE: The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter. Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets. Here is some interesting info on breed identification: https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/
Our adoption process is:
1. Fill out our Adoption Application online. We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet.
2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting. Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
