Meet our Volunteer Favorite! Muffin is a 9-month-old Domestic Shorthair who has been at the shelter since 12/1/2025. She’s a playful, curious cat with a medium energy level who absolutely loves toys—watching her chase and bat at them is a joy for staff and volunteers alike. Muffin is housebroken and gets along well with other cats, making her a great companion for multi-cat households. While Muffin is affectionate with people she knows, she can be wary of strangers and may need some time to warm up in a new environment. Because of her cautious nature, we recommend an experienced cat handler who can help her build trust and confidence. Muffin’s extended stay in the shelter is beginning to impact her well-being, and she would thrive in a home where she can decompress and blossom at her own pace. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful cat who just needs a little patience to shine, Muffin is ready to meet you.
