Jonathan Taylor Thomas has already proven just how strong and resilient he is. This handsome boy came to the Humane Society after presumably being hit by a car, suffering multiple fractures to his right rear leg and pelvis. Due to the severity of the damage, his right rear leg had to be amputated. After six weeks of dedicated cage rest in a loving foster home, his pelvic fractures were given time to heal and stabilize. While his pelvis didn't heal in perfect alignment, Jonathan has adjusted beautifully to life on three legs and is getting around well.
Jonathan doesn't let anything slow him down. He has no trouble getting in and out of his litterbox and uses it consistently like a champ. He's adapted to his new normal with grace, showing everyone just how capable tripod kitties can be. That said, because of his previous injuries and the way they healed, he may be more prone to arthritis in his hips as he gets older. Keeping Jonathan at a healthy, slim weight will be incredibly important to reduce strain on his hind end and help him stay comfortable for years to come.
Now that he's a three-legged superstar, Jonathan will need to be an indoor-only boy where he can stay safe and protected. In return, you'll get a resilient, inspiring companion who has already overcome so much and is ready to write his next chapter in a loving forever home.
