Frosting is a gentle boy with a soft heart who is still learning that the world can be kind.
He was rescued as part of one of the most severe neglect cases the Humane Society of Greater Dayton has faced in recent years. Coming from an environment with 33 other animals where they endured long-term filth, confinement, and neglect, it's completely understandable that Frosting is a bit nervous as he adjusts to a new, safer life.
At first, he may seem unsure-but give him a moment and a few gentle cheek scratches, and you'll see the magic happen. Frosting leans right in and melts into the affection, clearly enjoying the attention and showing just how much love he has to give. Beneath his nerves is a cat with tremendous potential to be sweet, loving, and devoted.
Frosting is currently in our open cat room, where we hope he will continue to gain confidence and begin to flourish. He will do best with a patient, understanding adopter who can help him feel safe and move at his own pace. With consistency, kindness, and time, Frosting's true personality will shine.
