Angel Square's name couldn't be more fitting-he is a gentle soul who has survived circumstances no animal should ever have to endure.
Angel Square was rescued as part of one of the most severe neglect cases the Humane Society of Greater Dayton has seen in recent years. He came from a home where 33 animals were living in extreme filth, darkness, and confinement, without proper care or comfort. After everything he experienced, it's completely understandable that Angel Square is feeling nervous and unsure as he adjusts to his new world.
He is currently in our open cat room, where we are hopeful that with time, consistency, and kindness, he will begin to feel safe enough to let his guard down. Beneath his cautious exterior is a cat who wants to trust-he just needs the right environment to help him do so.
Angel Square will thrive best in a quiet, calm, and patient home, with an adopter who understands that healing takes time. With gentle reassurance and respect for his pace, he has the potential to blossom into the loving companion we know he can be. Every small step forward is a victory for him.
