Papaya is a sweet, playful, peopleloving little girl with a gentle heart and a curious spirit. She enjoys everything kittenhood has to offer-exploring, playing, and soaking up affection whenever it's available. Papaya has a wonderful balance of kitten energy and cuddleready charm that makes her a joy to be around.

Papaya came into NYC ACC (Staten Island) with her mom, Xena, and her brothers after being surrendered on 3/25/26 due to family circumstances beyond their control. Through no fault of their own, this young family found themselves in the shelter system at a very vulnerable time.

Their story touched us deeply, and they became our first New Hope rescue during our probationary period. After requesting them on 3/27, four days later we picked them up and brought them directly to foster care, where Papaya has continued to blossom.

Papaya would truly thrive being adopted with one of her brothers, Lime or Melon, or with her mom, Xena. Kittens do best when they grow up with a feline companion, and Papaya would love having a familiar friend to play, cuddle, and learn alongside.
