Lime is a funloving, playful, and curious brown tabby kitten who absolutely adores people. He's always ready for action-chasing toys, wrestling with his siblings, or trotting over to greet humans with enthusiasm and confidence. His joyful energy and affectionate nature make him impossible to resist.

Lime's journey began at Animal Care Centers of NYC (Staten Island), where he and his family were surrendered on 3/25/26 after a heartbreaking family loss made it impossible for their owners to continue caring for them. His mom, Xena, and her three kittens suddenly found themselves in need of help.

When we saw an email with the subject line
"JUST CAME IN! Young Mom Xena and her 3-7 week old Babies!",
we knew we couldn't turn away. This family became our very first rescue during our probationary period as a New Hope Partner. We requested them on 3/27/26, and four days later transported them through Brewster, NY, bringing them straight into foster care-safe, loved, and given the chance they deserved.

Lime has been thriving ever since and would do best adopted with one of his siblings Melon or Papaya, or with his mom, Xena. Growing up with a familiar feline companion will give him comfort, confidence, and a lifelong best friend.
