Raja is a female cat who presented bright, alert, and responsive (BAR), but in poor body condition with dehydration, an abraded lower lip, and a severely injured right front limb. Her right front leg has extensive degloving injuries with infection and necrotic tissue. Due to the severity of the damage, amputation of the affected limb will likely be necessary to relieve pain and prevent progression of infection.
Raja's injuries require advanced surgical intervention, intensive medical management, and ongoing recovery care that exceed what we can consistently provide in the shelter environment. Despite her condition, Raja is receiving supportive care and continues to show resilience.
Raja needs a safe, compassionate placement where she can receive prompt surgical evaluation, treatment, nutritional support, and appropriate postoperative care to maximize her comfort and quality of life. This pet is at risk for euthanasia due to the level of medical care required, which exceeds what we can provide in the shelter.
