Domestic Short Hair Cats Available for Adoption

Meet SootSprite! SootSprite is named after a cute and fuzzy cartoon kitten because he was found wandering alone in a rural area in Culpeper the night of the big snow/icestorm. A Good Samaritan found him as the snowflakes started to fall and got him to us immediately before rushing home to hunker down before the storm. Goodness knows, he wouldn't have made it through the storm.

This little guy is about 6 - 7 months old and a complete sweetheart (and favorite at our vets!) He loves everyone he meets and loves to be held, cuddled, and pet. He was the hit of our last adoption event, too. SootSprite is a smoked black tabby, meaning that his fur is lighter at his skin and gets darker toward the ends. In the sunshine, you can see his black tabby stripes. SootSprite gets along with other cats and loves to explore, climb, and play with crinkle balls, and catnip toys. He is always curious and into something. He would make a great companion or emotional support cat.
