Hi! I'm Avaro, a handsome short haired black male with a little white spot on my chest, born approximately 2/17/2025. I made the journey all the way from Roswell, NM so I could find my forever home. I'm hoping it's with you!
I'm a very sweet boy who absolutely loves full-body pets. Seriously! Give me those nice, long strokes and I'm a happy guy. I do get a little nervous if you touch my paws though, so let's maybe skip the surprise toe grabs for now. I'm young, energetic, and very playful. Wand toys? Yes, please. Laser lights? I will chase that red dot like it's my life's mission. Catnip banana? Don't mind if I do! I've got lots of energy and I'm always ready for action. I'm also pretty social with other cats. I can be a little assertive because I really want to play, play, play, so I'd probably do great with another confident, playful kitty who can match my energy and help burn it off. I also think I'd do well in a family with kids who understand my energy or even a doggie buddy, as long as you follow Wild Blue's introduction procedures.
Now, I am still learning some important manners. Sometimes I forget that your hand is not a toy, and I can get a little too enthusiastic and give playful nips. I'm working on refining myself! With consistency, redirection to toys, and patience, I know I'll keep improving. I tolerate being held for short periods, but I'm usually too busy to sit still for long.
