Meet Mardi Gras - at first glance he may seem shy, but don’t let that fool you—this gentle boy absolutely loves affection. Once he gets comfortable, he will purr in contentment for hours.
Mardi Gras has a physical handicap affecting his rear hips and may someday need surgery. But right now he lives life with enthusiasm and determination. He is incredibly sweet-natured and has a truly big heart. He enjoys spending time with his brothers: Bayou, Gumbo, Creole, and Cajun. He wrestles and plays like any other kitten. In fact, he’s often the first one to hop onto the cat treadmill for a little run; he doesn’t let anything slow him down! He climbs cat trees like others, although he appreciates having a step available as a boost if there’s a spot that requires a jump.
Mardi Gras was born into foster care after his mother, Kopi, was rescued as a stray. Because of his special needs and sensitive nature, Mardi Gras would do best in a quiet home with someone who has cat experience and can provide a calm, loving environment. He would be happiest with one of his brothers or another friendly cat for companionship.
This special boy has an enormous capacity for love and will make a deeply devoted companion for the lucky person who welcomes him home.
