ATTENTION CALICO LOVERS
My name is Roxie! I'm the perfect blend of sweet, sassy and smart. I'm usually on the move, until my foster mom can't resist how cute I am, and picks me up for neck rubs. I lay in her arms like a baby, until it's playtime again. She says I'll like being held even more once I become a teenager. When it comes to playing, there is absolutely nothing I don't love. Top favorites on my list are chasing laser pointers, playing with crinkle toys, jumping in and out of Amazon boxes, catching toy mice that I carry around in my mouth, and cat springs. When all of my toys get stuck under the couch, I improvise by gently batting at my dog's pom pom tail! The first day I got to my foster home, the dog was sniffing under the door. My tail puffed up, and my fur was standing on end. What came next was a short, but slow introduction, and I learned that I like dogs! There's also a resident cat in the house. She's not too excited that little ones like me are here, but good news. I am not afraid at all when she hisses at me. Of course, none of this would be as much fun without my "twin" sister Tizzy. We were found as strays, and have never spent one day apart. When we are running off in different directions, and can't find each other, we have a special sounding meow that brings us back together. We are the true epitomy of what they call "velcro kittens".
Sometimes, like all kittens, I get a little too rambuncious, and it's time for me to go back into my foster room for a nap. I may cry for a few seconds, and then I'm quiet as a mouse. That's pretty good for a little one like me.
My sister and were tiny little stray kittens, thankfully found together. How lucky are we to have a nice, safe foster home to begin our lives in. We can't wait to have a forever home soon. Our foster mom has been rescuing kittens for many years, and we heard her say that we are two of the most confident, well socialized kittens she's ever had.
If you can't already tell, Tizzy and I are extremely bonded, and should be adopted together. We would be a perfect addition to a home with another cat or a dog. We've never met a child, but would love to grow up with one or a few. It's not a dealbreaker for us, as long as we have each other. As the world famous Hannah Shaw (Kitten Lady) quotes, "Two Kittens are Better than One" and it's true!
