Meet Heathcliff! Heath is estimated to be about 2 years old and is a scruffy brown tabby cat. Our volunteers describe him as more reserved, still getting used to shelter living.
Heathcliff did test positive for FIV but don't sweat it - FIV is a rather common affliction for our shelter kitties. It is typically found in cats who have spent some time living outside in communal kitty spaces. Heathcliff will likely live a long, normal kitty life as long as he is kept healthy and happy. FIV+ cats can absolutely live with others without spreading it, as long as there is no serious fighting then the spread of this virus will not occur.
We encourage visitors to stop by the shelter during business hours to meet our adoptables and pick their perfect match. Online applications can be submitted by visiting friendsofcbas.org/adopt
