Meet Fang !
A Tiny Survivor with a Big Personality!
Fang came into rescue weighing a mere 14 ounces - not even a full pound! At just four weeks old, this tiny girl had already been through more than most cats experience in a lifetime.
We believe Fang was attacked by another animal, leaving her with devastating injuries. Her spine was fractured in two places, her femur was broken, and she had several bite wounds along her back. Her tail was also severely damaged, almost completely bitten off.
A few days into foster care, her foster mom noticed that Fang's tail seemed to be missing. Upon closer inspection, it turned out that the damaged tail had finally fallen off completely! So now Fang proudly sports an adorable little stump, giving her the appearance of a tiny Manx kitten.
Considering the severity of her spinal injuries, we were incredibly fortunate that Fang retained full control of her bladder and bowels. She can pee and poop normally, and her muscles function just as they should. That was a huge relief and an enormous victory for such a tiny survivor!
And Fang? Well, she apparently never got the memo that she was supposed to be a seriously injured kitten.
From the very beginning, she was in excellent spirits, bouncing around her recovery cage and making it perfectly clear that she had places to go, things to do, and absolutely no intention of sitting still!
Her wounds healed beautifully, her fractures healed, and today Fang is a happy, ridiculously active little girl who is determined to make up for lost time.
Fang is BUSY.
She has kittens to chase, toys to conquer, and adventures to pursue. During the day, she is far too occupied with her important kitten business to spend much time sitting in someone's lap. And that's perfectly fine! She's young, she's happy, and she's enjoying every minute of the life she fought so hard to keep.
But when the day winds down and it's time for bed, a completely different Fang appears.
Suddenly, that busy little whirlwind becomes a sweet, affectionate cuddle bug. She loves snuggling up next to her person, enjoys being petted, and rewards you with a surprisingly loud purr for such a tiny body.
Fang absolutely adores other kittens, and we would love to see her adopted into a home with another young, playful cat or kitten. She thrives on feline companionship and would be happiest with a friend who can keep up with her endless energy.
Fang isn't looking for sympathy. She's looking for a family, a playmate, a warm bed, and someone to cuddle with when her busy day is finally over.
She's already overcome the impossible. Now all she needs is her happily ever after.
All kittens under 4 months old must be adopted in pairs unless the adopter already has another cat at home.
