Delanie - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Buffalo, New York

Meet Delanie!!! She's a special kitty who needs an extra special home, but has just as much love to give as any other cat.

Delanie is a 10 year old senior gal currently dealing with vestibular disease, a condition that affects balance and coordination. This can cause head tilt, walking in circles, or difficulty getting around normally. The worst of Delanie's symptoms, such as nystagmus, have subsided and she has become more stable, but still requires more supervision than other cats. She would do best in a home with a lot of carpeting, few stairs, and where she is the only cat. Her senior bloodwork has much improved since coming to shelter, but she will require dental work as she has extensive dental disease. The cost of the dental will be covered by TLC.

While Delanie's appearance and movements may be a little different, vestibular disease does not necessarily affect a cat's ability to enjoy life, form bonds, or be a wonderful companion. Right now, what Delanie needs is a safe environment, where she can move at her own pace. We would like to see her adopted by someone who has been waiting for a very special companion, and has an established Vet relationship.
