Big Bread may sound like a whole loaf, but he’s actually a petite little dinner roll at just 5.6 pounds 🥖
About a year old, neutered, and up to date on vaccinations, Big Bread is ready for a home of his own. He’s missing his ears and most of his tail, which only adds to his one-of-a-kind charm — and trust us, the tiny tail wag is worth the wait.
Big Bread likes to take a moment to rise. In a new space, he may tuck himself away and quietly observe while he gets the lay of the land. But once he feels comfortable? He is absolute dough in your lap. This sweet boy has a giant heart, a serious purr motor, and so much love to give.
He doesn’t just greet everyone right away — you have to earn it. The secret ingredient? A little song. Big Bread especially loves when you sing “Do you know the Big Bread Man?” to the tune of “Do You Know the Muffin Man?” Once he knows you’re his person, he’ll be at your feet with his tiny tail wagging and his purr box turned all the way up.
With just a little patience, Big Bread will rise into the most affectionate, social, and lovable companion you could ask for.
Meet and greet/adoption appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt!
DON'T FORGET! Cats often do better with a friend! All our cats and kittens have an "Adopt one and the 2nd at half the adoption fee!" bonus!!!
Our kitten/cat adoption fees vary on age, ($25-125 +TAX) special needs, lonely heart status (cats that have been with us 6+ months), and for our senior to seniors program. Our adoption fees include the following: all of our cats/kittens are current on vaccinations (FVRCP series and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), treated for fleas/ticks/earmites in addition to being spayed or neutered once the cat reaches 2 lbs in weight. All cats and kittens adopted from the shelter are microchipped. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances.
Because we are on a busy street, we require that all cats leaving the shelter be in a carrier. All pets are up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee is paid.
