Domestic Short Hair Cats Available for Adoption

10/2025 - Perch now known as Menchi was brought back to us to no fault of hers. Her owner had to move into a new place that didn't allow pets.

With that being said Menchi has been a pleasure to have in fostercare. It took her a bit of time to get used to SO many housemates. 2 greyhounds and 7 other cats, resident as well as other fosters. Menchi is definately an on her own terms cat. But she does like to cuddle, she just doesn't like being picked up.

She is still young enough to do all the playing and chasing. She would be best with other cats, she very much likes a playmate. She was a little lonely and bored with her previous adopter. She does very much enjoy the catio at her foster home. Menchi would probably do well with many different age groups of kids. However, when she is happy she does like to nibble a bit with her front teeth. More of a tiny pinch than a bite. So this could scare some young ones into thinking she is being mean, but she really isn't.

Menchi is an all around perfect cat. It is really hard to not want to keep her all to ourselves.

The Lincoln sextubplets were brought to a local shelter at 3 weeks of age. This is a particularly difficult age to foster because they are almost too old to take the bottle and they don't know what "food" is. The shelter called us and they were placed in their first foster home. Within a week they were all eating food and transferred to their next foster home to eat, grow, and be very spoiled.

The adoption fee is $50 and covers age appropriate vaccines, tests, a microchip, and a spay/neuter. The adoption fee helps cover the cost of these vetting procedures.

The majority of our cats/kittens are in foster care and we must be respectful of the foster family's time. An approved application is required prior to setting up the meet and greet. After the meeting, if you believe you have met your new family member, you would be able to take them home the same day.

Please know that we do vet checks and property checks on all our applicants. If you have pets currently, all pets must be current on ALL MAINTENANCE VETERINARY CARE AND ALTERED. (This includes core vaccines, heartworm testing and prevention for dogs, virus testing for cats). We check deeds and call landlords to ensure the cat is allowed on your lease.

VETTING INFORMATION CAN BE PROVIDED BY YOUR VET (WE WILL CALL THEM) OR BY SUBMITTING THE PAPERWORK BUT IT MUST BE VERIFIED. If you have a pet that has been deceased within 2 years, we will also need to verify that pet was current on all medical care or as recommended by your veterinarian at the time oftheir passing.

Due to limited resources for local vetting, adoptions may be delayed until after kittens are altered. Wait times may vary until age-appropriate vetting can be performed prior to adoption.

THE FOSTER KITTEN PROJECT IS A RESCUE THAT FOCUSES ON NEONATALS. Not all Kittens posted are ready for their Forever home immediately and may need further foster and veterinary care. Kittens that do go to forever homes are FULLY vaccinated, Spayed/Neutered, Microchipped, Dewormed, FIV/FELV tested, and fecaltested PRIOR to going home with you.
