DESCRIPTION

Fearless, Playful, Silly

Meet Qaden! This kitty is completely fearless and loves to wrestle with her siblings. She loves to play with crinkly toys and gnaw on them for fun. If you're looking for a silly kitty to add to your family, Qaden could be purr-fect for you!

Qaden is blind; she is fearless, and will literally leap into space to see if she can catch whatever she hears floating by! She follows what she can hear, what she can smell, and what she remembers, and easily is at the center of the kitten pile-up with her siblings.

Call Qaden to let her know when you are near, and use crinkly toys and other objects with sounds to help her acclimate. Blind cats are amazing! They learn to navigate their environment using their superpower hearing and memory. Show Qaden where things are, and soon she will be walking (zooming, because she's a kitten!) confidently around the house; in fact, you might sometimes forget that she is blind!

Qaden was born with feline cerebellar hypoplasia (CH), which is a is a non-progressive, non-contagious neurological condition that causes balance issues. That makes her wobbly and off balance at times. Cats with minor to moderate CH require no special care, or only minor accommodation, like avoiding stairs.

Qaden has experience with her kitten siblings (Quest, Quentin, Quince, Qantara, Quashee, Qasima) and they would love to be adopted together! Learn more about them at https://www.austinpetsalive.org/adopt/cats

Qaden is a cutie-patootie all the way around! From her vibrant and fun-loving personality to her adorable belly markings, you are going to love her. Contact us today to learn more and to arrange a meet & greet!

Cats adopted from APA! with CH must be kept indoors only. CH cats have the same lifespan as other cats. Questions? Just reach out through the Adopt button. We're happy to talk with you about CH.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
