When Marth was rescued, she was as wide as she was long! She came indoors just in time to welcome five healthy kittens and immediately showed everyone what a loving, attentive mama she could be.

From the very beginning, Marth seemed to understand that she was finally somewhere she could rest. In foster, this former street cat began discovering all the comforts of indoor life: rolling around on soft rugs, stretching out on the couch, climbing the cat tree, and curling up as close as possible to her foster while he played video games. She adores scratching posts, fluttery toys, squeeze-up treats, and catnip-with a scratching post conveniently nearby for the aftermath!

Marth leans into gentle pets and, when she feels especially comfortable, rolls over to show her belly. She isn't naturally a lap cat yet, but she loves being near her people. She was also comfortable around a large dog and occasionally even tried to play with him!

Life on the streets had left Marth with scratches, missing patches of fur, and fleas. She didn't even seem to know what a cat bed was. Once she realized she was safe, she began to heal, relax, and reveal her sweet, playful personality. The transformation was truly night and day.
